Couterpointe by ZOLATONE
Brings light and life to interior walls.
Counterpointe by Zolatone wall finishes, is a subtle mix of silky smooth pearlescence and fine visual texture that produces a soft lustrous glow on interior walls. It is made up of two visually distinctive, yet complementary finishes; Pearltone and Sandtone. Pearltones are lustrous hues of translucent pearl. Sandtones contain that same lustre, but provide subtle texture and dimension. Together they offer a diverse and subtle range of visual texture and light reflectance in a waterbased formula - each in 66 colours for a total of 132 different colour options.
Counterpointe is built entirely of reflective (non light-absorbing) materials. Unlike paint, Counterpointe contains lustrous resins and tiny mica chips that act as millions of tiny mirrors on the surface of the paint film, reflecting and scattering light throughout the space. Unpleasant "hot spots" and glare typically associated with hightly reflective and/or glossy finishes are avoided through this scattering of light. In fact, Counterpointe colors provide 4.7 times more total light reflectance (TLR) than the comparable color in standard interior wall paint. Depending on the colour chosen, the actual TLR difference ranges from 2.5 to 9 times the total reflected light.
Through its high Light Reflectance Value, Counterpointe is also energy efficient. As a result of reflecting more light, less artificial light has to be used and thus reducing the use of energy.
Not only is Counterpointe energy efficient, it is also considered a "green" product. It is waterbased, and is low in VOC, as well as being anti-microbial and LEED compliant. These "green" features do not lower Counterpointe's durability and scrubability, in fact, Counterpointe can withstand a great amount of scrub cycles; it is more scrubable than standard latex paint and epoxy as well as even more than Metal and Lluminations.
